“Spiritually enriching escapism that respects God’s Word with none of the sermonizing.”

Escape into the depths of Christ!

Escape into the depths of Christ!

Tell me if this sounds familiar…

You’ve picked up a brand new Christian fiction novel. You’ve settled into your reading chair with a cup of tea off to the side. You start the first chapter. Then you tilt your head and go,

“Sigh. I know this character will convert to Christ by the end. They’re obviously ‘the wayward child’ that left God.”

“Really? Did the author need to straight up tell me what this character’s flaws are?”

You keep reading hoping there will be something interesting for you. Instead you think,

“Ugh. The author is spelling out the point for me — again.”

“Wait a minute, he needs to be held accountable for his actions. He lied, cheated, and stole and got away with it!”

And by the time you finish you might be thinking,

“Well that journey just fell flat for me.”

“Wait a minute. That’s the answer to this complicated problem? It’s so shallow!”

“I don’t think these events happened exactly this way in the Bible.”

Don’t sell yourself short of experiencing God’s truth through fiction!

Ever since I entered the realm of Narnia and encountered Aslan, I’ve created many fantastical worlds where I could have a radical experience encountering truth. Since then I’ve wanted to tell stories that give space for Christians to ponder burning questions while affirming the values of their faith. I was further inspired when I discovered Ted Dekker’s novels in highschool and I admired his writing skill and deep, thematic storytelling.
